As a measure to prevent and minimize the transmission risks of Covid-19, since mid-March, Infratróia has affected its teams to reinforce the actions for washing and disinfecting solid urban waste containers, as well as various urban equipment, such as banks and litter bins, throughout its area of operation.
The periodicity of this work will continue to be reinforced over the next few weeks, following the recommendations of the Portuguese General Health Directorate (DGS) and the Regulatory Entity for Water and Waste Services (ERSAR).
According to ERSAR recommendations, we reinforce that the lids of the waste containers must always be kept closed, as an eventual open lid incorporates numerous risks of waste proliferation, namely risks to public health and public health, in addition to the undue exposure of waste the rain.
Infratróia's Employees use personal protective equipment when opening and handling containers. In this sense, we also recommend the use by users of something that prevents direct contact with the container lid and subsequent hand hygiene or disinfection.
We request the collaboration of all, as these actions, jointly, will certainly make us all safer.
